Fast food doesn't have to be unhealthy and full of calories.
As a busy business owner and now also a busy dad, I don't always have time to cook and prepare my own perfectly balanced meals as most in the fitness industry would have you believe.
If you look in my shopping basket it's full of everything I need to support my active lifestyle and fitness goals.
High quality lean proteins - Chicken/turkey breast, Greek yoghurt to build and repair my body.
High quality carbs - Oats, sweet potato, fruit, providing a sustainable energy source to fuel my workouts and active lifestyle.
Good quality fats - Walnuts provide omega 3 for good heart and brain function.
And the good thing about what you see in my basket is, none of this stuff takes any more effort than ripping open the packet and sticking it in the microwave for a couple minutes.
Is it the healthiest or best tasting food in the world? Probably not.
Is it a better option than a take away or even worse, skipping a meal? 100% YES
I'm not gonna lie, over the last few weeks over Easter and with the birth of my son, any kind of so called fitness or healthy eating regime went out of the window and I gained a few pounds.
And I'm totally cool with that by the way.
Because this is a sustainable lifestyle for me and I can easily pick back up at anytime. This is not some quick fix fad.
Losing weight for me and my transformation clients is as easy as flicking a switch when you have the right formula.
We don't have to wait until we can follow the perfect workout plan, prepare perfectly weighed out meals, and eat them at the perfect time.
There's no such thing as perfect!
And I'm not perfect.
We just get it done! End of!
Most people I speak to say their main struggle is with their diet and eating the right foods.
Is what I've shown you today really so hard?
